Administration Decries 'Democratic Hoax' as Further Epstein Estate Photos Disclosed

Democratic lawmakers have released a new tranche of what they described as "troubling" images from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The first release of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday represent a small number of the nearly 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is probing the conduct and connections of Epstein.

The disgraced financier died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.

Notable Figures in the Photos

Featured among the prominent personalities seen in the opening set are public figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin empire.

Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are blacked out.

Administration Response

The White House addressed the release in a statement, charging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for partisan aims and to "try and create a false narrative."

"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been consistently disproven," an administration official stated, insisting that "this presidency has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by frequently urging openness, making public numerous documents of documents, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's Democrat friends."

Democratic Lawmaker Remarks

The images were released without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with affluent people.

"It is time to stop this White House cover-up and secure justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he said in a statement.

The disclosure of these images occurs alongside the oversight committee pressing on with its probe into the affair.
