On Monday, the court was told phone records and evidence recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - when she was three years old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported investigations and continues to be unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One recorded message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I believe what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "Imagine there is a small chance that I am she? Then what? Isn't that significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," the message continued.

The tribunal was informed that by means of electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, a data specialist with law enforcement who compiled the data, advised the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with family friends of the McCanns, as per the call data.

On that date, Mr McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will continue and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court learned message exchanges between the two defendants, in November 2024, discussing endeavoring to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a communication which stated: "We are sat adjacent to the McCanns' house with our lights out resembling private investigators. I wanted to accomplish this with another person I hadn't anticipated I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."
