The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
