The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The celebrated game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
