Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to express about his deep grief.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the film, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order issued a restriction on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the killings, public personalities offered different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive statements that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan described the statements as "disturbing" and implied they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate could have acted when the impulse to speak on the tragedy was made.
